Marine Specialised Technology Ltd (MST) is delighted to announce that we have broken
into the prestigious Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 for 2014.

MST No.89 in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100

The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s top 100 private tech
companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years. The Tech Track 100 is
published in The Sunday Times each September, with regional dinners throughout the
year and an awards event in November. Previous businesses listed include Ocado,
Shazam and Skyscanner.

MST have made the top 100 this year, listed at No 89.

A typical Tech Track 100 company is generally run by entrepreneurs, has between 20 and
200 staff, has average 3-year sales growth typically ranging from 40% pa to 300% pa and
sales ranging from £5m – £50m. MST’s Group Sales Director and one of the founding
partners, Philip Hilbert comments ‘MST qualify on all of the entry criteria for the Tech Track 100
and we are delighted to be included.’

Philip continues ‘We were pleased to see that the Tech Track 100 has room for companies
other than app developers, games programmers and financial services providers. As a
business ‘‘who build things’’ and one of only nine companies to be included from the
Northwest of England, MST are proud to be a flagbearer for British manufacturing and UK
exporting excellence –more than 90% of the specialised craft we build go to our overseas
customers.’

Journalist Richard Tyler recognises this in the main article in The Sunday Times
commenting ‘With a passing nod to James Bond, Liverpools’ Marine Specialised
Technology (No 89) even makes the high-speed assault boats that can submerge and sit
at the bottom of the sea to be picked up later.’

Philip comments ‘Since founding the business in 2002, we have constantly sought to
innovate within our sector. Our work with the Dutch ministry of defence and our recent
inclusion in a £110 million contract with the MoD is testament to our ongoing commitment to excellence.
Staying at the forefront of technology is something we at MST, see, as completely non-negotiable.’
