MST Wins Top Innovation Award

MST was delighted to be awarded ‘Business of the Year for companies with over 30 employees’ at the recent Liverpool Chamber Business Awards hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Ngunan Adamu, which recognised a number of the region’s biggest success stories over the last twelve months.

MST’s award is the culmination of many years of hard work and determination, but none more so than over the last eighteen months with the challenges posed by global events throughout which MST continued to deliver key services and contracts to the UK Ministry of Defence and Government Agencies around the world.

Paul Cherpeau, chief executive of Liverpool Chamber, said: ‘Innovation has been at the heart of the pandemic response for so many businesses in the region, so it was only fitting that we should award separate prizes to highlight their talent, agility and resilience.’

MST’s Director Philip Hilbert commented “It’s been an unprecedented eighteen months during which we have had to face many new challenges and deal with global disruption on a scale never experienced before, but our dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure we managed our way through it safely and securely and mitigated the impacts on the wider business, so it’s a great accolade to have received this award and something the entire business will be very proud of”.

As a testament to MST’s efforts the company still managed to deliver the first of a new class of 19m high-speed patrol boat to the UK MOD, along with deliveries to South America and Europe. The company looks forward to a secure future with a growing order book already exceeding £60 million, accompanied by a further recruitment drive as we look towards the New Year.

MST would like to thank all its staff for their dedication and hard work over the last year.
