RIGID INFLATABLES AND HIGH-SPEED WORKBOATS

MST make Insider Magazine’s top 100 Growth Companies.

Every year Insider Magazine celebrates the achievements of the 100 fastest-growing companies in the North West by announcing the Top 100 Growth Companies. This year, MST (Marine Specialised Technology) have achieved 11th place, with an impressive annual growth of 86% up on the previous year, with a turnover of just under £15 million.

Insider Magazine uses turnover figures for the five previous years to calculate an average percentage gain, companies must have enjoyed positive growth in the last year and a turnover of £1m plus in the first year. MST appears alongside companies such as Manchester’s Zeus Capital, Cheadle-based property investor Mansion and Castelrock Recruitment based in St Helen’s.

‘We are proud to fly the flag for Liverpool, the North West and UK manufacturing,’ says Philip Hilbert, MST’s Group Sales Director, ‘Our recent expansion in worldwide exports is a testament to everyone’s hard work and commitment.’

MST is a global business with an extensive network of companies and strategic partnerships that deliver sales and support services in over 21 countries around the world.

Phillip continues ‘Our growth is down to a number of factors, key amongst them the everchanging face of modern military deployment and growing civil use. MST craft can be found operating in every ocean across the globe, in roles as varied as law enforcement, naval, rescue, patrol, special operations, fisheries and conservation.’

He also adds ‘Our business model is unique – we offer flexible modular solutions tailored to meet client requirements from a range of proven platforms. Every boat sold by MST is perfectly suited to its role, ensuring maximum performance, capability and effectiveness.’

The award of last years five year contract by the MoD to help maintain its fleet of small boats is indicative of growth in recent years. Phillip states ‘The MoD contract is recognition of our commitment to excellence in every area of operation – every craft we maintain HAS to perform at 100%. It’s that serious, and we take it that seriously.’

As well as new craft sales, the growth of MST’s Fleet Services division in the last year has been a vital aspect of the development of the business, providing after-sales service, top class ongoing support and supply of parts.

‘It’s been a great year’ Phillip ends by saying, ‘Now the challenge is to carry the momentum forward and break into the top ten in 2016!’
